PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake hydraulic pressure generating device capable of obtaining a desirable operation stroke characteristic of a brake operating means regardless of the quantity of consumed brake fluid of a brake circuit. SOLUTION: In the brake operation, a first valve element 5a is controlled so that the input of an input shaft 4 is balanced with the first valve element stroke converting force of a first stroke-force converter 6, and a second valve element 5b is controlled so that the first control valve output pressure converting force F2 of a first control valve output pressure-force converter 10 is balanced with the second valve element stroke converting force of a second valve element stroke-force converter 7. Although the brake pressure PW of the wheel cylinder 9 side is controlled on the output side of a control valve 5, the stroke of the first valve element 5a is not influenced by the brake pressure control. That is, the pedal stroke can be prevented from being changed by the brake pressure control on the output side of the control valve 5.
