When a reader reads a strip cartoon written on a paper medium, the image that the reader views changes as the eyes of the reader move. Even when a medium other than the paper one is used, the creator of a hierarchically expressed page image (PIM) designates the display image so that a change of the image may occur, as intended by the creator, similarly to a paper medium. The items designated by this display image include node display area information about the positions, shapes and display order of node display areas (NW1, NW2) and the display layers. On the basis of these display image designation, display image control information on the page image is created, so that the image is displayed according to the display image control information. As a result, an image intended by the creator can be presented to the reader. |
