PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost pattern select device by holding down the number of frequency of operation and reducing the number of part items although the conventional pattern select device requires display means corresponding to the number of patterns to be selected, resulting in the problem in number of part items. SOLUTION: Figures or characters corresponding to the respective sewing patterns are arranged in plural columns and rows in a display part, and display means for specifying and displaying the concerned row and column in selection are provided correspondingly to the row and columns on the display part or in its vicinity. One desired pattern is selected by specifying the row and column by operating a pattern select member.
