PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated metal film which is used for a decoration, anticorrosion and the improvement of visibility or the like, and its manufacturing method, and in details, provide the manufacturing method for the coated metal film wherein the extremely thin metal film of which the thickness is 5μm or lower, and both surfaces of which are coated can be easily manufactured under a sheet-form. SOLUTION: For the resin-coated metal film, one surface of a metal film, of which the thickness is less than 0.2μm, is coated with a protective resin layer 1 of which the thickness is less than 2.5μm. Then, the other surface of the metal film is coated with a protective layer 2 of which the thickness is less than 2.5μm. Such a resin coated metal film is manufactured in such a manner that a thin layer film containing a metal film layer is formed on a solvent soluble film, and then, the solvent soluble film is removed.
