PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a fermentation medium suitable for producing a high purity metabolite, preferably the metabolite selected from a group consisting of an organic acid, a vitamin, an amino acid and an antibiotic from a recyclable raw material. SOLUTION: This method for preparing the fermentation medium comprises a process of treating the recyclable raw material optionally, enriching a carbon source or a nitrogen source capable of being directly assimilated by microorganisms and removing insoluble impure materials: a process of not changing the concentration of the carbon source directly capable of being assimilated while removing low molecular weight impure materials from the recyclable raw materials by using technologies selected from a nano-filtration and an electrophoresis singly or in combination: a process of treating the raw material removed with the low molecular weight impure materials as mentioned above and supplementing with the nitrogen source or carbon source capable of being assimilated by the microorganisms and a process of recovering the fermentation medium obtained as above.
