This invention discloses biologically useful properties of supernatant deriv ed from the prostate adenocarcinoma cell line DU-145. Supernatant from this cell line possesses the ability to stimulate proliferation of T cells, B cells, endothelial cells an d bone marrow cells in a dose-dependent manner. The properties of DU-145 supernatant can b e used in therapeutically to stimulate proliferation of certain cell types in a mammal .
