摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an impact energy absorbing pad wherein a plurality of pad sections of which the withstand load amounts per unit area are different, and the connecting section for respective pad sections can be integrally molded. SOLUTION: A molding die 1 is equipped with a main body 11, a lid body 12, and a partitioning member 13. In this case, the main body 11 has the plurality cavities 2a and 2b to form the pad sections of which the withstand load amounts per unit area are different, and a space section 3 to form the connecting section for respective pad sections. The partitioning member 13 can close the space section 3. By using such a molding die 1, the space section 3 is closed with the partitioning member 13, and then, foam materials 4a and 4b which respectively become a desired hardness are fed. Then, the foam materials 4a and 4b are heated and made to react. Within a period of time wherein respective foam materials expand, and also, it is less than the rising time, the space section 3 is opened. Also, the molding die 1 is opened and demolded, and thus, impact energy absorbing pads having different required stresses are obtained.
