PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can lid which solves a problem that when a can for canned food or drink is to be opened, a nail at a finger tip or the like must be hooked in order to pull up a tab from a lid surface, but this is difficult for those with a weak nail at the finger tip or weak force such as a woman, a child, or an aged person in particular while it is more difficult especially to open the lid of the can with a small diameter. SOLUTION: The lid 1 is equipped with a swell 3 for pushing up the tab 2 on a side of a region where the tab 2 is placed. The tab 2 is moved onto the swell 3 with a clamp 4 for attaching the tab 2 as a fulcrum, a gap is made between a surface of the lid 1 and the tab 2 by a principle of a wedge. Thus the tab 2 can be easily pulled up without need of engaging a nail at the finger tip 8.
