PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blanket for offset printing capable of suppressing a deterioration of the blanket itself to the minimum limit by simply removing a volatile component of an ink from the blanket and restarting a printing operation immediately after a treatment by shortening a stopping time of an offset printer for a recovering work. SOLUTION: The blanket comprises a blanket body having a base material part and a surface part. The base material part has a heating mechanism to be a self-temperature regulation type. A method for offset printing using the blanket comprises the steps of supplying an ink to an intaglio, scraping the excess ink by a doctor blade, then receiving a pattern on the intaglio by an ink placing surface of the blanket, transferring the received pattern to a matter to be printed, and offset printing the matter.
