PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new assay technology for assaying by fractionating an organic anion and cation transporter in human, a primer pair therefor and a probe. SOLUTION: There are disclosed a probe for assaying the organic anion and cation transporter in human, for example a probe comprising an oligonucleotide hybridizing to a predetermined region of a specific gene such as the region represented by 426 to 453 of SLC22A1 gene, an assay kit comprising combination of the probe and a specific primer pair and a method for assaying the transporter by measuring presence and absence of hydrolysis of the probe performing PCR reaction using the kit.
