PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily recognize a state of a pet robot. SOLUTION: This diagnostic device comprises a reading means for reading required diagnosis data from a portable memory that stores various control parameters for defining an action of the robot and is removably attached to the robot, and a diagnostic means for diagnosing the state of the robot based on the diagnosis data read by the reading means.
