PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically changing over barrels timely according to the kinds of beer in a beer pouring system wherein a plurality of barrels are connected to one dispenser to pour beer by successively using the barrels. SOLUTION: In the beer pouring system, a sparkling state of beer poured out of a barrel is detected from measured values of impedance of beer to check whether or not the barrel is emptied, thereby automatically changing over the barrels. A reference value for checking impedance of beer when the barrel is changed over is set beforehand according to the kinds of beer, while a conditional equation is set to identify the kind of beer from values of impedance of unsparkling beer. After changing over the barrels, impedance of beer sent out of the barrel is measured to identify the kinds of beer based on the measured value using the conditional equation. A reference value corresponding to identified kind of beer is used to change over the beer.
