PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer wherein a label set which has been removed after replacement can be effectively used. SOLUTION: The number of remaining label sheets stuck to a received label mount at the point in time is constantly acknowledged by the label printer. To cause the number of the remaining label sheets to be acknowledged, the number may be decreasingly counted from an initial number every time a label is issued. When an operator replaces the label mount, a management label with the number of the remaining label sheets at this point printed is issued by the label printer. A date of the replacement of the mount is also printed on the management label. The operator sticks the label mount removed by the replacement to the management label. Thus the number of the label sheets left on the stored label mount is clear, and the label mount after replacement can be prevented from being uselessly disposed of.
