PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking member fitting device which is usable and smoothly operable without any malfunction. SOLUTION: This locking member fitting device comprises an accommodation unit for accommodating a continuous assembly of a locking member having stopper parts on both ends of a filament, a means for pressing the assembly forward, a body having a pair of guide needles 6 in which the stopper parts of the locking member forming the tip of the assembly are inserted forward, an upper lid which is pivotably supported at a rear end above the body and has a piston member for pushing the locking member forward in a group through the guide needles 6 with a returning means interposed therebetween, and a receiving base which support an object with its rear end pivotably supported below the body, and a means for integrating the motion of the upper lid with the motion of the body in an initial stage, and disintegrating the motions from each other when a lower end is brought into contact with the receiving base is provided on a part of the upper lid. A swollen part which is tapered as the whole is formed on an outer side surface of the guide needles 6.
