PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily move a worker on a vehicle body although a width of the body is made narrower and easily carry out a work for placing seedlings on a previous seedling placement base from a ridge between rice fields and a work for feeding the seedlings from the previous seedling placement base onto a seedling placement base. SOLUTION: In the riding rice transplanter, a lateral width of a front part of a step cover 202 is narrower than that of a position of right and left front wheels 15 in a plane view of the vehicle body and a lateral width of a rear part of the step cover 202 is wider than that of the front part and becomes wider to a stepped shape from a narrow width part at the front part to a wide width part at the rear part at an upper position of the right and left front wheels 15 in a plane view of the vehicle body. Previous seedling placement bases 22 are disposed at both right and left side positions of the front part of the step cover 202 on the front side as compared with the wide stepped part. An approximate flat step surface is formed at a position positioned on the front side of the seedling placement part 155a on the lateral outermost side of the seedling placement base 155 positioned on the rear side of the step cover 202.
