PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method by which a compression molded body of a melamine based resin foam, wherein the nature is stable, can be molded regarding the molding method for the melamine based resin foam to mold the compression molded body equipped with a flexibly deformable tenacity by compressing and heat-molding the melamine based resin foam. SOLUTION: A sheet body 1 of the melamine based resin foam is compressed and heat-molded, and the compression molded body 10 of the melamine based resin foam equipped with the flexibly deformable tenacity is molded. In this case, (1) the heating temperature is set at a range of 200 to 245 deg.C, preferably at a range of 215 to 240 deg.C. (2) The compressing-heating period of time is set to be 30 seconds or longer, preferably, 1 minute or longer. (3) The compressing- heating period of time is set to be 5 minutes or longer when a compressing ratio R/W is set to be 1/2 or lower. (4) The heating period of time is controlled under the condition of a specified heating period of time and a specified compression force. Thus, the compressing ratio R/W is controlled, and the compression molded body 10 having a desired thickness R is molded.
