PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a position of a vehicle while a consumption of a battery is inhibited. SOLUTION: A base station 58 gives a request at a constant interval by an instruction of a position detection service center 59. When a vehicle V receives the request, it transmits a response signal including an ID information. The position detection service center 59 determines a position of the vehicle V based on the response signal and provides the position information by a request from a management center 60. A power source is fed to a response signal transmission means of the vehicle V from a battery of the vehicle. A power source supply from the battery is maintained for a continuing time set longer than an interval of the request even after a main power source switch is disconnected and a response to the request from the base station 58 can be carried out. As a result, a position at the time of stopping of the vehicle can be accurately grasped at the management center 60.
