Advertisements are made over a mobile telephone network which uses at least one server (4) with a database (10) for storing advertisement data and a transmitter and receiver unit (8) to receive the data, inputted by a mobile telephone user, and then send this data to one or more subscribers. Independent claims are also included for (a) an advertising method carried out using a mobile telephone network, and (b) the use of a mobile telephone network for advertising.
