PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spare tire retaining device, in which a structure is simple and a processing is also simply carried out, capable of reducing a manufacture cost and enhancing an assembling property. SOLUTION: In the spare tire retaining device of a vehicle retaining a spare tire 31 to a lower surface 12a of a floor of a car body 11, a U-shaped hook part 39 is formed on one end of a frame 33 and a bracket 40L is rotatably mounted to the hook part 39. The other end of the frame 33 is swingably mounted to the lower surface 12a of the floor by mounting this bracket 40L to the lower surface 12a of the floor.
