PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing head for automatically aiming at a fire point and efficiently performing a fire extinguishing action with reduced water damage accidents and to provide a fire extinguishing equipment. SOLUTION: Solenoids 27 and 29 are operated to permit one of a far distance nozzle 9 and a near distance nozzle 13 to be turned on and another to be off in accordance with a horizontal distance from the extinguishing head 10 to the fire point. An intermediate nozzle 11 is normally in a communication state. Then, adjacent water discharge areas are superimposed so as to sufficiently discharge water to the fire point at the boundary of the areas whichever area is selected.
