PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper diaper which makes leg opening edges hardly flutterable and makes portions around the legs neat and sightly. SOLUTION: This paper diaper is formed with a waistline opening WO and a pair of light and left leg openings LO by joining both side edges 30 and 30 of a front body F and back body B of an external form sheet 1 and consists of a crotch region 1 and a girth region T forming the leg openings. At least the leg opening edges 6 and 6 in the crotch region L forming the leg openings are provided with shaped stretching members 23F and 23B in parallel to the girth. The leg opening edges 6 and 6 are shrunk to a central part side in a transverse direction by these shaped stretching members 23F and 23B.
