PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage-type separator wherein the filter is prevented from being clogged with an adhesive component in plastic wastes, and the wastes are converted into wastes applicable to equipment for converting them into a material fed into a blast furnace. SOLUTION: There is provided a cage-type separator comprising a drum filter 115 that rotates inside a cage 111 and separates air from pneumatically conveyed ground or particulate wastes and a blade 121 that has a cage sealing function, rotates in contact with the surface of the filter, and scrapes the wastes from the drum filter 115, wherein the holes 133 of the filter 115 are profile ones.
