PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of more effectively cleaning a pair of rollers, especially a fixing roller in a fixing device. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device provided with a thermal fixing type fixing device 17, a recording material carrying device, an image storage device storing the image of a prescribed pattern and an optical writing device forming the image on an image carrier and allowing a recording material on which the image is recorded to pass through the fixing device 17 again to clean it, at the time of forming the image of a prescribed pattern, control is executed so as to make the weight per unit area of toner transferred on the recording material heavier than that in normal image formation in such a manner that at least one of a developing bias, a light quantity for writing, the rotational speed of a developing roller, a transfer current and the current of the image carrier is changed. |
