The machine has an ejector device for wound rolls (3), with an ejector face or edge, which is curved in direction of ejection and extends across the full working width. The max. deviation of the curve from the straight line in the center of the machine is 5mm to 50mm. The device has an ejector roller (10) consisting of freely turnable roller sections located along a curved line. The device is pivoted about the carrier roller (1) on the intake side, and there is a lowered holder stage (12) for ejected rolls behind the other carrier roller (2).
