PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit for driving a diversified inductive position transducer having improved efficiency and accuracy. SOLUTION: The drive circuit 300 for driving a transmitter coil 122 of the inductive position transducer has an oscillating power supply. A resonance section is connected to the power supply. Resonance sections (350, 360, and 122) comprise an impedance transformer, the transmitter coil of the inductive position transducer, and feedback group for oscillating the power supply by a resonator frequency. Load impedance, applied to the power supply by a resonator operating frequency and a resonance section, is independently selectable. In the diversified configuration examples of the drive circuit, the resonance section operating frequency conforms to variations in the impedance of the transmitter coil. The drive circuit especially suited for driving a low-impedance and/or compact inductive position transducer. In the diversified configuration examples of the drive circuit, the peak operating voltage of the transmitter coil can become larger than the supply voltage. |
