PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface monitoring device capable of accurately recognizing a road surface condition and informing it to the outside publicly and improving a disturbance noise characteristic. SOLUTION: In this road surface monitoring device provided with a monitoring camera monitoring a road surface and a road surface temperature sensor measuring a road surface temperature to decide a condition of the road surface, it is provided with a light source provided on one side of road surface sides, a reflecting face provided on the other side of the road surface sides, the monitoring camera receiving first incident light entering after being reflected on the reflecting face from the light source and second incident light entering after being reflected on the road surface and being further reflected on the reflecting face from the light source, and a road surface condition decision means for detecting the presence or absence of reflection on the road surface by comprising image information from the monitoring camera of the second incident light with image information when a deflection filter is added to the monitoring camera to decide a situation of the road surface based on the presence of absence of the reflection and image information from the monitoring camera of the first incident light. |
