PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitting and receiving method for allowing a broadcasting receiver to inexpensively and efficiently acquire contents data suitable for the taste of the user himself. SOLUTION: A program chart is transmitted with contents data. When a receiver answers questions related with his tastes for the contents data to the server of a transmitter connected to the Internet, classification codes are provided from the transmitter. When the receiver inputs the classification code to a receiving device, the classification information of the present received contents derived from the present time and the program chart is compared with the inputted classification code, and when the classification information of the contents data which are being broadcast at present matches with the inputted classification code, the contents data which are being received at present are automatically recorded in a data recording device. Then, the contents of the contents data to be transmitted are changed as necessary according to the tendency of the classification code to be supplied from the server to the receiver. |
