PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity purchase supporting method and device which enable a user to fulfill the user's needs or easily reach the most suitable means for solving such a problem that the user has. SOLUTION: The commodity purchase support device 1 is provided with databases 6, 7, 8 storing the solving means prepared for the user's problem based on the assumption of the problem, narrowing-down means for narrowing down items until reaching the user's problem by making a plurality of preset fields as the most significant selected items and shifting to lower-level selected items according to the selection of the user, solving means providing means for fetching out the solving means corresponding to the narrowed-down problem from the database 6, 7, 8 to be provided to the user side, component information providing means for providing information associated with each component constituting the solving means to the user side, and commodity item information providing means for providing information associated with a specific commodity item of each component to the user side. |
