PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to listen to voice data stored in a data terminal by using a digital phone terminal. SOLUTION: The private branch exchange system is provided with a data terminal I/F section 22 for connecting digital extensions that connects a data terminal PC1 to the digital phone terminal 2-1, with a switch 24 that selectively interconnects an outgoing B1 channel in a digital extension 41 and a reception function 211 of a voice input/output I/F section 21 and also an incoming B1 channel in a digital extension 42 and the reception function 211 of the voice input/output I/F section 21, and is configured such that the outgoing B1 channel in the digital extension 41 is used in common by the digital phone terminal 2-1 and the data terminal PC1 and the incoming B1 channel in the digital extension 42 is commonly used by a main device 1 and the digital phone terminal 2-1.
