PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a coating distinction of organic layers in a substrate with an organic EL display device, especially one of which organic layers are formed by coating, and to provided a novel process of colorification in which an outer electrode lead-out part and a sealing adhesion area are secured and organic EL elements with different luminescent colors are arranged in one and the same substrate. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device is provided with a substrate, a first electrode formed on the substrate, one or more organic layers at least involved in luminescent function, and a second electrode formed on the organic layer, and it is so structured in the manufacturing method that at least one of the above layers is formed by a method of application and patterned by a lift-off method.
