PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette improved in the accuracy and surface characteristic of a tape guide of a lower half constituting a reference hole of the magnetic tape cassette. SOLUTION: This magnetic tape cassette has a slider which is freely longitudinally slidably disposed at a cassette case formed by combining an upper half and the lower half to the state of mating caps and constituted to house a magnetic tape wound between hubs of a supply side and a take-up side therein and opens and closes a guide slot and a reel shaft slot. The tape guide of the lower half constituting the reference hole of this magnetic tape cassette is a final packing position in molding the lower half. Molds for forming a screw boss of the tape guide are formed of double structures. The lower half is molded by venting gas through the spacing between the components constituting the mold having such double structures.
