PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a writing head 1 having a long life and provided with an opening 10 having a very small opening area compared with the writing head 1 and a magnetic tape 3. SOLUTION: The opening 10 of the writing head 1 is provided in a contact magnetic body 18. The opening 10 is filled with a filling material 22 consisting of a hard non-magnetic material, e.g. silicon dioxide, aluminum, etc. Thus, the contact magnetic body 18 and the filling material 22 are nearly equally worn and the writing head 1 having the long life can be obtained.
