PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method of tracking a target and a device for it, capable of improving probability of tracking keeping even when a signal received from a target turning in a manner that it makes a S shape or a U shape is buried in main beam clutter. SOLUTION: By utilizing relation between the aspect angle of the target and Doppler frequency for setting a predictive track gate away from main beam clutter, means for waiting for the target signal to reappear out of the main beam clutter region is provided.
