PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having stable electrical characteristics, high durability and high optical responsiveness in various environments. SOLUTION: The multilayer electrophotographic photoreceptor including an undercoat layer, an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transferring layer on an electrically conductive substrate is used in an electrophotographic process having >=100 mm/sec process speed. The undercoat layer contains titanium oxide, the ratio of an electric charge transferring material to a binder in the electric charge transferring layer is (10:14) to (10:20) and mobility in 20 V/μm electric field intensity is >=1×10-6 cm2/Vsec. When acicular or dendritic titanium oxide is used in the undercoat layer, environmental dependence is improved.
