The door opener (5) is connected to a control device (7) containing a device (10) for communication with a telephone (20, 22) used to send an identification code to the control device. Providing this code to the control device will unblock it, and then an operating code is inputted into the control device so that the door opener is unblocked and the door (3) can be opened. Independent claims are also included for (a) a user unit such as a house (4) with at least one door or similar closure device opened and closed using this method, (b) the combination of at least one of these user units with an operating station (18), the latter being provided with at least one second telephone (22) for communication with the control device and at least one first telephone (20), and for inputting at least one operating code into the control device, and (c) the control device.
