The device for holding two superposed flat elements (1,2) comprises a gudgeon (3) and two locking pads (5,6) separated from each other by an eccentric (31) carried by the gudgeon. Before use the device is in a single piece with the pads connected to the gudgeon by breakable bars (41) which are broken on first use.
