PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a result of a plotting process without a sense of incongruity by uniformly adjusting the output results of a linearization process resulting from a difference of an input page description language, without making the host side conscious of selection of the page description language at all. SOLUTION: When a figure given by a predetermined pass plotting command is linearized by a rasterizing process part 303c, an optimum painting process is selected from among a plurality of painting processes according to the plotting requirement of the predetermined pass plotting command for linearization. Based on the selected painting method, a bit map plotting process to be applied to the figure given by the predetermined pass plotting command is changed. |
