PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor whose internal resistance is made smaller. SOLUTION: This conductive agent for polarizable electrode or collector of an electric double-layer capacitor is made of carbon black containing boron solution having an electric resistivity of 0.10Ωcm or less designated in JIS K 1469. In the electric double-layer capacitor in which a separator impregnated with an electrolyte, a pair of polarizable electrodes, a pair of collectors, and a pair of metallic electrodes are housed in a frame, the polarizable electrode and/or collector are comprised by using the conductive agent.
