PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar charge type electrophotographic photoreceptor which uses a short-wavelength laser beam or light emitting diode light for an exposure light source, is most adequately designed to achieve high resolution and high image quality at this exposure light source wavelength and is designed to have excellent durability. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor is mounted on the electrophotographic device which uses the semiconductor laser beam or light emitting diode light of 400 to 450 nm in oscillation wavelength as the exposure light source. This electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive base and contains both of a hole transfer material and an electron transfer material in the photosensitive layer.
