摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system that utilizes a PHS via an ISDN channel and can avoid occurrence of radio wave interference itself. SOLUTION: A master unit (1) of a wireless communication system is provided with a wireless transmission rate control section (105) that controls a transmission rate in a wireless channel by using a radio wave interference level monitored by a carrier sense monitor section (106) for a criterion. The wireless transmission rate control section can freely decelerate/accelerate the transmission rate of the wireless channel. The wireless transmission rate control section decelerates the transmission rate of the wireless channel to delay it as its control when a radio wave interference level at a front edge of a communication slot gradually gets higher, but accelerates the transmission rate of the wireless channel to advance it as its control when a radio wave interference level at a tail end edge of the slot gradually gets higher so as to avoid radio wave interference on the basis of the carrier sense level at the front edge, a middle and the tail end edge of the communication slot monitored for a prescribed time by the carrier sense monitor section during communication between the master unit and a slave unit (2).
