PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer in which the temperature of drying air can be raised to a set level in a shorter time at the time of starting operation and the humidity of air can be regulated to lower as drying operation progresses. SOLUTION: The dryer comprises a vertical drying chamber 1 with a door 11 coupled, at the upper part thereof, with an air supply duct 2 and, at the bottom part thereof, with an exhaust duct 3 through a coupling part 31, a blower 4 for supplying air to the drying chamber 1 through the air supply duct 2, a heating means 5 disposed in the way of the air supply duct 2, an exhaust stack 6 coupled with the exhaust duct 3, a drain outlet 30 provided at the lower part of the exhaust duct 3, a straightening plate 10 comprising a punching plate or a mesh disposed at the bottom part of the drying chamber 1, and a circulation tube 60 piped to return a part of air passing through the exhaust stack 6 back to the suction duct 40 of the blower 4 wherein an exhaust regulation damper 62 is disposed at a part on the downstream side of the circulation tube 60 of the exhaust stack 6.
