PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting a water level for automatic hot water pouring trial operation for use in a system of a bathtub for opening and closing a drain cock with remote operation and a bath furnace with a hot water heater having an automatic hot water pouring operation function for pouring hot water into a bathtub to a set water level, wherein even when upon the automatic hot water pouring trial operation for pouring hot water up to the set water level there remains water in the bathtub, the water level is set by completing the automatic hot water pouring trial operation with one time automatic hot water pouring trial operation without the need of complicated work. SOLUTION: The foregoing automatic hot waster pouring trial operation is completed by closing a drain cock after remaining water is drained by opening a drain cock for a bathtub upon the automatic hot water porting trial operation where hot water is poured up to a set water level.
