PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic detector by monitor cameras where the cost can be reduced even with installation of monitor cameras, the monitor cameras can simply be extended, and a change irrelevant to the monitoring is set to the outside of alarming so as to prevent false alarm and execute accurate alarming. SOLUTION: The automatic sensor is configured with a video signal input changeover circuit 7 to which the monitor cameras 1-4 are connected, which sequentially selects received respective video signals and provides an output of the selected video signal, with an automatic detection circuit D that receives the outputted video signal, stores many dots resulting from dividing one image pattern of the luminance signal and to which horizontal and vertical addresses are provided, compares each dot of one image pattern of the same monitor camera after a lapse of an optional time, and provides an output of an alarm signal when a level denoting a change in the luminance signal exceeds a present range, and with a video signal output circuit 30 that receives all the video signals of the monitor cameras, receives the output of the alarm signal and outputs the video signal of the camera that is compared at present.
