PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure and service life deterioration of downstream apparatuses caused in such that a foreign material is easily to stick to a strainer upon the cleaning of a distributing pipe due to no drain port at a ball valve fitted with the strainer for filtering a foreign material in a distributing pipe for a water supply system, and accordingly, a coarse strainer is employed thereto, to provide an insufficient filtering of the foreign material in the pipe. SOLUTION: This strainer incorporated type ball valve 1 with a cleaning function is provided with an inlet port 14, an outlet port 15, the drain port 16, a three way valve element 20, and the strainer 22 or the like. Normally, water is lead from the inlet port 14 to the outlet port 15 via the strainer 22. When cleaning an interior of the distributing pipe after installation, the inlet port 14 is communicated with the drain port 16, the strainer 22 is positioned in a side opposite to the drain port 16, and water used for cleaning is discharged from the drain port 16.
