PURPOSE: A side support adjuster of a seat for a vehicle is provided to improve driving experience and comfortableness by adjusting the width of the side support according to the body shape of a passenger, and to prevent accidents by restricting the body from inclining in cornering. CONSTITUTION: A side support adjusting device of a seat for a vehicle is composed of a containing groove(10) extended vertically in a side support(2a) formed at both sides of a seat cushion; spring steel(12) connected to both ends of a seat pan(14), and turned by a hinge(16); a wire(23) connected to the lower end of the seat pan by a horizontal fixing plate(18); a gap adjusting unit(30) installed in the lower part of the spring steel to adjust clearance between the seat pan and the spring steel by pushing and pulling the wire; and a flexible shaft(22) adjusting the width of the support by operating the gap adjusting unit with turning an adjustable dial(26). An upper containing end(12a) of the spring steel is inserted to the containing groove. Comfortableness is improved with adjusting the side support according to the body shape of the passenger.
