PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the operation voltage of an air cell. SOLUTION: The air cell is provided wherein a positive pole catalyst layer 5 wherein a catalyst layer for utilizing oxygen as positive-pole action material is press-fitted to a metal collector is used as a positive pole body. The surface of the metal collector is roughened to enhance contact between the metal collector and the catalyst layer, resulting in lower collection resistance and stable operation voltage during discharge. The metal surface is preferred to be roughened to average roughness 1-100 μm. |
