PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of easily delivering a message in the telephone answering service. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a private branch exchange connected to a plurality of extension telephone sets and a public network and a managing device connected through a network to a plurality of terminals, which are equipped with electronic mail means and connected to the private branch exchange, the private branch exchange is provided with a means for transmitting the telephone numbers of the first and second extension telephone sets to the managing device corresponding to the substitutive response of the second telephone set to an incoming call to the first extension telephone set, and the managing device is provided with a means for translating the telephone number of the first telephone set received from the private branch exchange to a related electronic mail address and translating the telephone number of the second telephone set to the computer address of the related terminal and a means for reporting the electronic mail address to the terminal of the computer address. Corresponding to the report of the electronic mail address from the managing device, the electronic mail means of the terminal displays a novel mail preparation picture with the electronic mail address as a destination.
