PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscopic device which is provided with a simple circuit configuration and charges efficiently with an optimum charge current. SOLUTION: An oscillation circuit 11 controls a drive circuit 12, based on the power source voltage of a power source 5 detected by a power source voltage detection circuit 6. The drive circuit 12 drives a piezoelectric transformer 13 according to the power source voltage and an oscillation signal inputted by the oscillation circuit 11, and a discharge capacitor 3 is charged with the electrical energy of a discharge tube 4 in accordance with the output voltage of the piezoelectric transformer 13. The discharge tube 4 emits flash light, by using the electric energy according to the operation of a trigger signal generating circuit 2. The oscillation circuit 11 generates the frequency of the oscillation signal, duty ratio or the oscillation signal burst-controlled as the oscillation signal, so as to adjust the oscillation signal to be outputted. |
