PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a drastic shift-down caused by a failure or the like while driving in a direct connection mode. SOLUTION: A control device comprises a clutch control means, a mode changing valve, a mode change controlling means, and a clutch connection prohibiting valve 41. The clutch control means selects either a power circulation mode or the direct connection mode as the driving mode by feeding clutch oil pressure to either a power circulation mode clutch 9 or a direct connection mode clutch 10 according to the driving condition of the vehicle. The mode changing valve selectively changes the clutch oil pressure fed to the power circulation mode clutch 9 and the direct connection mode clutch 10. The mode change controlling means operates a mode change valve 160 by feeding command pressure when one of the driving modes is selected by the clutch control means, and by not feeding the command pressure when the other driving mode is selected. The clutch connection prohibiting valve 41 prohibits the connection of the clutch corresponding to the other driving mode if the command pressure is not fed when one driving mode is selected. |
