PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow trouble diagnosis about connection parts of a cell voltage measuring line 2 and a capacity regulating circuit 5 to each unit cell Cij, to allow confirmation as to the presence of erroneous diagnosis in a diagnostic result for regulating circuit 5, and to specify a troubled portion, in a battery pack. SOLUTION: This battery pack having the cell voltage measuring line 2 for connecting plural unit cells Cij in series, and connected in a communized condition among electrodes of the respective unit cells Cij and between the adjacent unit cells Cij, and having the capacity regulating circuit 5 for connecting in parallel a discharge circuit to the each unit cell has a voltage comparing part in which the regulating circuits 5 in the battery pack are driven in every prescribed number not to drive the regulating circuits 5 of the adjacent packed batteries at least in one side concurrently, in which the undriven circuit 5 is driven thereafter, in which the voltage of the each unit cell Cij is measured when the circuit 5 is driven, and in which the measured voltage is compared with a release voltage V0ij of the each unit cell measured under an unloaded condition to determine the presence of abnormality.
